PRESERVING THE JOINTS

The gum resin of Boswellia serrata comprises a high concentration of boswellic acids, which is known for its anti-inflammatory activity. Boswellic acids have been identified to inhibit 5-lipoxygenase, the key enzyme in the production of inflammatory mediators which are involved in the degradation of collagen and elastin found in the extracellular joint matrix. With such valuable properties, it is useful in impeding the development of osteoarthritis. Boswellic acids were proven in studies to alleviate pain and subsequently promoting physical activity and reducing limb stiffness2,3,8.

Resveratrol is a natural dietary compound found in blueberries, grapes, red and white wine etc. It reduces the expression of inflammatory mediators, oxidative stress and the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) which ultimately alleviates cartilage degeneration11.
Resveratrol was discovered earlier than pterostilbene (both produced by plants) and have more clinical studies and more clinical profiles/data than pterostilbene, hence it’s used in our new formulation.

Do I still need to continue taking vitamin D supplements and calcium-rich food when I’m on FortefiX™ Plus?
Yes. FortefiX™ Plus is not a replacement of Vitamin D supplements and a calcium-rich diet. It is important to get sufficient amounts of Vitamin D and calcium for healthy bones.
